Sun Peaks BC
On the recommendation of relatives in Revelstoke I spent a day skiing Sun Peaks, a ski resort less than one hour north east of Kamloops. They are building a four season recreational village to provide the atmosphere and amenities needed for a truly enjoyable visit.

With 60 cm of snow over the previous few days I hit perfect conditions, as you can see from the powder snow in the picture below. Click the picture for a panoramic view from the top.

I skied with Andrew and Peter for the morning. Peter is a Sun Peaks ski tour guide. He took us powder poaching in hidden areas of the resort. Cool.
The day just kept getting better. Andrew and I met up with Nancy Greene in the afternoon and we, along with Jim from Toronto, skied with her for most of the afternoon. More hidden powder runs. Click picture to hear Nancy's ski advice.

Well, some of us skied and some of us had a little trouble in the trees. Note, picture taken by Nancy Greene!
A fabulous day made memorable by Nancy Greene. Thanks Nancy.
