Skiing - Georgian Peaks
I used to ski Georgian Peaks with the North Toronto Ski Club back in the early 70s. Since then it has gone private.

Georgian Peaks is located on the shore of Georgian Bay just a couple of miles west of Blue Mountain. It is a smaller area than Blue Mountain but the hills are somewhat more challenging and the runs a bit longer.

I went with my old next door neighbour Jeff A. and his friend Peter. Jeff is a member of a club that skis Tuesdays at private clubs within driving distance of Toronto.

The club does not have any high speed chairs. The triple chair below is more modern than the old and slow double chair that services Champlain, their beginner run.
If it wasn't for their extensive snow making equipment, there would not be any skiing this year. Snow conditions were typically 'eastern' hard packed snow,  westerners consider it ice.

They do have one of the nicest chalets.
We spent a little too much time enjoying this view from the bar.

Y2K's second day of skiing was another enjoyable way to get in shape for the serious skiing to come at Sunshine, Alberta in less than 2 weeks. Keep watching.
